Shami Takes A Dig At The Broadcasters, Says “You Guys Were In The AC, I Was There Out In The Heat”

The Indian bowlers especially Mohammed Shami played a big role in India’s win in the first ODI of the 3-match series and helped the team in taking the lead by 1-0. Mohammed Shami took 5 wickets in his 10 overs and gave away only 51 runs, what made it more praiseworthy is the fact that it was quite hot and the Indian players performed well despite struggling because of the heat.

The Indian pacers Mohammed Shami, Jasprit Bumrah and Shardul Thakur took breaks while completing their spells and the veteran pacer Shami took a jibe at the broadcasters when he was asked about the hot weather.

The Player of the Match, Mohammed Shami said to the broadcaster that he (Shami) was playing in the sun when he was sitting in the air-conditioned cabin. Shami said that the wicket was not offering much to the pacers so the slower deliveries were a good option and if these slower deliveries land in right place, then they can give good results. Shami says that it feels great when a bowler takes wicket for the team as it is good not only for the team but also for the confidence of the bowler.

India and Australia will play the second ODI tomorrow at Holkar stadium, Indore.
