Shikhar Dhawan Hilariously Trolls Cheteshwar Pujara For His Post On Missing Cricket Field

The world has come to a standstill as the coronavirus pandemic has forced us to remain inside our houses. While some of us are quite lucky to have the option of working from home, there are many who don’t have this option, such as cricketers. Many players may be passing their time by indulging in live chat sessions but there is no denying the fact that till now, they must be missing being on the field badly.

Recently, the Indian cricketer Cheteshwar Pujara took to his Instagram account and posted a photo of himself practicing in nets.

The caption that he wrote is, “The thing I miss the most in this lockdown is being on the cricket field.”

While Cheteshwar Pujara was expressing his condition, his teammate Shikhar Dhawan didn’t want to miss this opportunity to have some fun at Pujara’s expense.

Dhawan commented, “Sachi humein toh pata hi nahi tha ki tu cricket miss kar raha hai. Wah” (Really? We had no idea that you are missing cricket. Wow)

Some other cricketers also joined the bandwagon and had fun after Dhawan’s comment.

Cheteshwar Pujara has become an integral part of the Indian test team as he has the ability to bat for long periods and score runs while saving his wicket. Last time when Pujara was on the cricket field was the Ranji final and the cricketer played an important part in Saurashtra’s win over Bengal.

He would have played for Gloucestershire in County Championship of England but due to the coronavirus outbreak, all the sporting events all over the world have been postponed or cancelled. England has postponed its cricketing events till May 28 and Indian Premier League has also been postponed indefinitely. Some people from the cricket fraternity have even advised postponement of T20 World Cup 2020 which is going to take place in Australia this year.
