Shilpa Shetty Kundra is one of the most renowned actresses in the Bollywood industry. Shilpa made India groove with her films. She made her debut in Bollywood with Baazigar in 1993 to winning Big Brother. The actress did it all by herself which is highly laudable.
Well, life is definitely not a bed of roses no matter whatever profession we choose to achieve success we need to face ups and downs. Shilpa even had her amount of ups and downs in her career like any other actresses.
Recently the actress opened up about her journey and struggles in the Indian film Industry in an interview with the Humans of Bombay. She says her journey was definitely not an easy ride as the producers would throw her out of their films without any prior reason.
While talking with Humans of Bombay Shilpa recalled the starting days of her career, The universe wasn’t in my favour, but I had to keep trying no matter what.
The actress further said I was this dark, tall & lanky child who had her life pretty much laid out for her. Even though in my heart I wanted to do something different, something bigger & better, I never felt like I could. But when I participated in a fashion show, just for fun, I met a photographer who wanted to click my photos. For me, it was a great opportunity to step out of my comfort zone. To my complete surprise, the photographs came out really well!
That opened the doors of modelling for me. Soon, I got offered my first film! There was no looking back from there. Well, now we know how the diva came into Bollywood.
I was all of 17 when I entered the industry, I hadn’t seen the world or even understood life. With all the success came scrutiny. I wasn’t ready for it.
Shilpa recalled the time when here movies weren’t doing good in the box office, I reached a point where after a few films my career hit a lull. It’s not easy to be celebrated one moment & ignored the next. She said, the producers without any reason, threw me out of their films.
That is when the actress decided to take up Big Brother, It was at that time that I decided to reinvent & entered Big Brother. It was a chance to do something unique. But it ended up leaving a huge impact!
