India’s winning run in the ICC T20 World Cup just keeps getting stronger. On Wednesday night at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, the Men in Blue registered their fourth consecutive victory, defeating the Netherlands by 17 runs in a high-scoring contest.

Batting first after winning the toss, India piled up 193/6 in 20 overs. The star of the innings was Shivam Dube who smashed 66 runs off just 31 balls, clearing the ropes six times and hitting four boundaries. His explosive knock came after Aryan Dutt had shaken India’s top order. Aryan Dutt dismissed Abhishek Sharma for another duck and sent Ishan Kishan back for a quick 18 off 7 balls.
Tilak Verma (31) and Suryakumar Yadav (34) helped steady the innings before falling to Roeleof Van Der Merwe and Kyle Klein. Later, Shivam Dube took control, with Hardik Pandya contributing 30 off 21 balls and Rinku Singh finishing unbeaten on 6.
Chasing 194, the Netherlands fought hard but were restricted to 176. Varun Chakravarthy led the bowling attack with three wickets, while Shivam Dube impressed again by picking up two. Hardik Pandya and Jasprit Bumrah chipped in with a wicket each to seal the win.

After the match, a heartwarming moment grabbed attention. Indian pacer Arshdeep Singh swapped jerseys with Dutch bowler Aryan Dutt and posted a picture on X with the caption, “No IF No BUT shoutout to ARYAN DUTT”

India, the defending champions, had earlier beaten the USA, cruised past Namibia and defeated Pakistan to secure their place in the Super 8 stage. With this latest win, they wrapped up their Group A campaign in dominant fashion, looking every bit like title contenders once again.
