Shoaib Akhtar Has A Furious Reply To Indian Journo’s ‘Baap Baap Hota Hai’ Question

The cricket matches between India and Pakistan have always been high-tension ones and players from both the sides getting engaged in war of words is nothing new.

The former Pakistani pacer Shoaib Akhtar used to create trouble for the Indian batters but there were times when the Indian batters gave him a perfect response. Some years back while attending a TV show, Virender Sehwag stated that during an India-Pakistan match, he told Shoaib Akhtar, “baap baap hota hai, beta beta hota hai” (father is father, son is son) after Sachin Tendulkar smashed the Pakistani pacer for a six.

However, Shoaib Akhtar has repeatedly denied that any such incident has happened between both of them and on Sunday before the India-Pakistan match, Shoaib Akhtar gets angry when an Indian female journalist talks about the same incident and asks him to reveal any other such incident which he hasn’t spoken about in any other interview.

In response, Shoaib Akhtar said that first of all, it would have been very difficult for Sehwag to survive if he had spoken this in front of him. Earlier in an interview, Akhtar had stated that he would have beaten Viru then and there if had spoken this and he would have also beaten the Indian opener in hotel as well.

Shoaib Akhtar told the journalist that he asked Virender Sehwag whether he had said any such thing and the latter very clearly said no. Akhtar further tells her that she should have respectful conversation and rather than saying mean things, she should focus more on cricket because it is a great moment that both the teams are playing against each other. Shoaib Akhtar goes on to say that he doesn’t prefer to talk about those things which increase differences between the nations and requests the reporter to talk about cricket.
