Some people can go to any extent to prove everyone how ‘Renowned’ they are. Same is the case with author ‘Shobhaa De’ as well. Earlier, she had even mocked the Indian athletes with regards to their participation in Rio Olympics.
She said that Olympians will just take some selfies there and will return empty handed. Her tweet had invited lot of controversy but after the epic win of Sindhu and Sakshi Mallik, Shobhaa had accepted her mistake.
Now once more, she has raised a very important issue through her tweet. For showing an awesome performance at Rio Olympics, Sachin Tendulkar, the Brand Ambassador of BMW presented a luxury car each to Sakshi, Dipa, Sindhu and coach Gopichand.
These luxury cars were actually purchased by President of Hyderabad District Badminton Association, Chamundeshwarnath and Sachin Tendulkar just presented them.
Now, with Sachin presenting these cars, there were headlines almost everywhere and it became the big news of the day. But, Shobhaa De considered this as nothing more than an advertising campaign for BMW and attacked Sachin on Twitter!
