Kiku Sharda aka Palak of “Comedy Nights With Kapil” is accused of disrespecting religious feelings and for the same has to face legal charges. An FIR has been lodged against him by Dera Sacha Sauda as he imitated Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh in an episode of CNWK which was telecasted on 27th December, 2015. Previously too, the same group protested against the actor for SAB TV show called FIR.
As reported, Kiku has been booked under IPC section 295 A for “outraging religious feelings of any class by insulting it’s religion or religious belief”. Dera Sacha Sauda followers seemed not to have liked his mimicry of their religious leader which resulted in lawful action. Nevertheless, Kiku did not officially comment on the matter but he apologized on Twitter in this way:
“Dosto the act on TV was not to hurt anyone’s feelings. My apologies to @Gurmeetramrahim ji and his followers. Let’s spread happiness.”
However, this apology on his part did not seem to be of any use since protests are going on as well as there is no sign of FIR being taken back.
