After becoming the hottest mother of B-Town, Kareena Kapoor is all set to make her small screen debut. Kareena Kapoor’s first look after becoming a mother came up when she walked the ramp for Anita Dongre at Lakme Fashion Week recently. Now, she is all set to announce her arrival on our small screens.
As per the reports, BBC Earth has signed Kareena as their brand ambassador. Kareena Kapoor has been elected by BBC owing to her global popularity. Kareena with her husband Saif Ali Khan keeps visiting London every now and then which has made her a popular face amongst the masses back there.
Kareena is the global face of the brand and has even shot for two days for BBC Earth in London. BBC Earth were glad to have the Bollywood Diva as their partner. They are reportedly paying Kareena a massive sum of Rs 12 cr. As the shoot has reportedly been done already, Kareena can be seen on the small screen very shortly.
The news was confirmed by Saurabh Yagnik, who is the EVP and Business Head of Sony Pictures Networks India. He stated, “We are excited to have Kareena Kapoor Khan as the ‘Feel Alive’ Ambassador for Sony BBC Earth. Her personality perfectly resonates with our brand proposition and channel content, which will be revealed soon. I am confident that this unique association will take the factual entertainment experience to a whole new level for our viewers in India. The brand was keen to have her on board as she was not only well known globally but was also very popular in London, UK. She shot for two days for the ad, taking home a cool pay packet of Rs 12 crore, which is unheard of. She is definitely one of the highest paid actors bagging this sum, if not the highest. “
A source further revealed, ” It’s a well-known global factual entertainment channel and they had approached Kareena during her pregnancy. One of the main reasons is her connect with the global audiences. She is quite popular in the UK, a country that she visits often with her hubby Saif Ali Khan. When Kareena was approached for it, she also felt it was a perfect fit for her. She has seen her buddies Salman Khan and Karan Johar connecting with the audiences on TV and felt this was the right time for her to be seen on the small screen.”
With this deal, Bebo is assured of breaking quite a few records. She has joined the league of Bollywood Big Guns who have graced the small screen including Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Amir Khan and Amitabh Bachan.
