As per Ghatlodia police, Dhaval used to live in H Block of Sarjan Tower, Gurukul road, and the accused Dharmendra Tridiya also lives in the same tower in M block. On March 1, around 12.30 pm, Dhaval was going to another block to get his wife who was in another block. Just then, Dharmendra’s German Shepherd dog jumped at Dhaval and bit him on his right hand and waist. This led to a heated argument between Dhaval’s wife Dikshita and Dharmendra as the woman asked the latter to make sure that his dog was not left unleashed.

Dhaval was into the business of supplying drinking water to business organizations. The man was hospitalized for treatment and on Saturday, his body was found hanging from the ceiling. Here’s what police told,

“Shah’s father Ashwin Shah has mentioned in his complaint that they were out on Saturday at 6 pm when Dikshita had called and informed them that Dhaval was not opening the door. At 7.42 pm when the door was broken, Dhaval was found hanging from a ceiling fan in the dining area near the drawing room. A three-page note was found from his pocket which accused Tridiya’s conduct as reason for his extreme step.”

Dhaval’s family has filed a case against Dharmendra and he has been charged with abetment of suicide.  In the complaint, Dikshita said that during the argument, after Dharmendra’s dog bit Dhaval, Dharmendra abused her and even held her hand. Ashwin Shah also told that the society chairman too tried for bringing a compromise but Dharmendra refused even to discuss things.

Presently, police is looking for Dharmendra. Ashwin Shah said that Dharmendra was regularly abusing Dhaval and other family members after the Ghatlodia police locked him up for 4 hours. In fact, just seven days back, Dharmendra warned Dhaval and threatened him that he would frame him and his family in false cases.
