Soon the girl will start getting calls from unknown males who will ask her to have friendship with them. This problem in UP is so huge that the UP police was compelled to start a new helpline just for this purpose after the chief minister of the state, Akhilesh Yadav, received such complaints from women.

This helpline received complaints from more than 6 lakh ladies but the surprising fact is that the police has not filed even a single case against any mobile recharge shopkeeper as the jails in UP won’t be able to handle this large number of culprits.

UP Inspector General Sekera said, “Koi crime nahin banega”

If the police really wants to make a case against any of these wrongdoers, they need to lay a trap so that these shopkeepers sell them SIM under a fake identity. Only then, the police will be in a position to charge them under Section 467.

Nearly 100 complaints are being received daily by the police in the urban localities and when these stalkers are called, they make excuses such as, “She is my girlfriend who has stopped talking to me,” or “I dialed the number by mistake” and so on.

It’s high time that UP Police should take some action against these wrongdoers and stalkers. What’s more, mobile recharge shopkeepers should learn a lesson they don’t forget for a lifetime.
