It might surely be very difficult for you to believe if we say that a UK couple became rich by selling something which might make you puke, “WHALE VOMIT”! Yes, you read that right!

A couple from UK named Angela and Gary were on cloud nine when they discovered a smelly rock that was nothing but the “whale vomit” which they found on a beach. The duo picked it up since its value was as high as Rs. 47.3 lakhs (50,000 pounds).

It so happened that the couple was strolling on Middlestone Sands beach and suddenly some sort of stink captured their attention. The Williams followed the unpleasant odor and what they came across was an odd shaped rock.

It was indeed their good fortune that the yucky thing turned out to be whale-vomit or what is popularly known as ambergris which is extremely expensive in view of the fact that it’s utilized in making perfumes. They already have the knowledge about ambergris so they wrapped it and took home.

The weight of the lump was 1.57 kg which was about half the size of ambergris found some years back. The value of the previous lump found in the year 2013 was £120,000. And the UK couple is in search of potential buyers to sell the ambergris that they have discovered.
