The GT captain was equally aggressive during the match at the Narendra Modi Stadium. While defending a huge target of 230, Shubman Gill took a brilliant diving catch to dismiss Shivam Dube who was trying to pull off a miracle chase for CSK. After taking the catch, Shubman Gill celebrated passionately and gestured toward the crowd as Shivam Dube walked back to the dugout.

Shivam Dube had almost changed the momentum of the game with a quick 47 runs off just 17 balls, smashing four fours and four sixes. However, his dismissal ended CSK’s hopes of a comeback.

He also shared a massive 125-run opening partnership with Sai Sudharsan, who continued his excellent form with 84 runs off 53 balls. It was Sai Sudharsan’s fifth consecutive half-century of the IPL 2026.
