Ever since the RIO Olympics champs came home, the athletes have been loaded with several awards, appreciations, admirations and what not! This is the moment every person awaits, baring the fruits of their hardships. Yes, they deserve every bit of this celebration with all due respect.
Surely it’s difficult to choose which of those are the most precious, especially when it includes two grand felicitation ceremonies in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, receiving the Khel Ratna by President Pranab Mukherjee and not to forget the BMWs presented by Sachin Tendulkar.
But visiting the Prime Minister as he applauds your struggle and feels proud of your achievement, is in itself a historic moment for anybody! On Sunday, the RIO champions PV Sindhu, Sakshi Malik, Asian Games gold medalist Ace shooter Jitu Rai, Gymnast Dipa Karmakar and coach P Gopichan met Prime minister Narendra Modi at his residence in the presence of Sports Minister Vijay Goel.
However, our Silver Medalist Shuttler, PV Sindhu wished she had done this one thing just before she met Modiji. Let us check why she said so, looking at her Instagram post:
“Just wish I had time to change as I was being rushed from the airport,” she mentioned.
Sindhu’s Instagram stories tell us how fond she is of dressing up just like any other girl. And here we see her in that pretty blue dress, this shows why that caption!! Never mind Sindhu, your attire wasn’t all that bothering or inappropriate. Although, that made you look as beautiful and presentable indeed at the Prime Minister’s residence. Right guys??
