Sohail Takes A U-Turn On His Match Fixing Comments! Here’s What He Says Now!

Yesterday, Aamer Sohail slammed Sarfaraz Ahmed and Pakistani team for losing the match against India. He even accused them of match fixing. However, he received a lot of backlash and anger from everywhere.

After being thrashed for his comments, Aamer Sohail took a U-Turn. Now, he says that he has not made a “Match fixing accusation” but has just criticized Sarfaraz for not dedicating the win against Sri Lanka, to Javed Miandad, whose birthday fell on that day.

Sohail said that after the Sri Lanka match, Sarfaraz was asked if he wants to dedicate the win to Miandad, but he flatly refused to do so because he feels Miandad criticizes the Pakistani team too much.

Sohail added,

“What I meant was that Sarfraz has become captain only recently and Miandad is a very big name in Pakistan cricket. He should not have said such things. If Miandad says something, it is only for the improvement of Pakistan cricket.”

He further added,

“The other thing I said was that the facilitators of the win cannot be named; however I said nothing about match-fixing or any other foul play — my statement was misunderstood.”

Talking about people’s agenda, Aamer Sohail said,

“If Pakistan is winning, then why bring up references to match fixing? I don’t know what agenda people who make such allegations are following.”

In fact, Sohail said that he has always supported Sarfaraz since 2015 and even insisted him on taking over the captaincy.

Clearing his stand, he said,

“What I meant that day on your programme was that people should stop confusing Sarfraz otherwise we will see a good talent go to waste.”
