Famous celebrities are imitated by the comedians and that is nothing surprising but a comedian getting arrested for imitating someone is not only surprising but shocking too.
In Kapil Sharma’s reality show “Comedy Nights With Kapil”, Kiku Sharda imitated the religious guru and self-proclaimed Godman Baba Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh on one episode of the show, which was not taken in good spirit by his followers and the religious group.
Kiku was sent to 14 days of judicial custody under IPC section 295 A as a complaint was filed against him by a Dera Sacha follower named Uday Singh for hurting religious emotions and sentiments.
Kiku was released on bail later and what’s more, he also apologized for the act earlier but taking him into custody didn’t go well with showbiz industry. Many raised their voice in support of Kiku and one of them was the actress Sonakshi Sinha, whose one tweet said more than any preaching:
