Sr. Journo Dilip Chandra Commented Against Modi. You Won’t Believe What Facebook Did With Him
The Social Networking Website Facebook has stirred a controversy by disabling the personal Facebook account of a Senior Hindi journalist Dilip Chandra Mandal.
Dilip, who has worked with India Today Group as a Managing Director and is a writer on social issues and media, has a huge number of followers on Facebook.
Dilip has an experience of over 25 years in journalism and is being recognized as the upcoming voices on media, especially on the matters related to Dalit Politics.
Dilip was very active on Facebook and was bearing the brunt of many Facebook users for his comments against the PM Narendra Modi, his government, government organizations and RSS.
Dilip has questioned Facebook India and asked the reasons on the basis of which they have taken such an extreme step, which is the violation of his Freedom of Expression. He has issued a statement in Hindi, condemning this act of Facebook. Dilip has called this action of Facebook as “wrong side driving”.
He has asked the Facebook officials to explain whether any complaints were being made against what he wrote or was anyone feeling insulted or there was some pressure by the government or RSS made any complaint.
Whatever may be the reason, the codes and ethics under which the public communication on social networks comes, are in question after this incident.
