The Indian cricketers are presently busy in the IPL 2020 but they have a very important tour ahead starting November 27. We are talking about team India’s tour of Australia in which they are going to play 4 test matches, 3 ODIs and 3 T20Is. Undoubtedly, fans are pretty excited as India and Australia are very competitive against each other and we are going to see some really great cricket during that tour.
On Monday, Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has released the list of the Indian cricketers who will be a part of the Indian squad on the tour. Soon the former cricketers and cricket lovers started reacting on the team selection and began to give their opinion in this regard. The former Indian cricketer Sanjay Manjrekar who is known for creating controversies doesn’t seem to be happy with the selection of KL Rahul in the test team. KL Rahul is presently leading Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) in the IPL 2020 and has been performing brilliantly.
Sanjay Manjrekar is not pleased with the fact that KL Rahul has been given a chance in the longest format based on his performance in the IPL. Sanjay took to the micro-blogging site Twitter and talked about the poor form of KL Rahul in the last 5 test series that he played and with it, he also posted Rahul’s average in each series.
Here is the tweet made by Sanjay Manjrekar:
KL Rahul in his last 5 Test series
– v SA – Avg 7.1
– v Eng – Avg 29
– v WI at home – Avg 18
– v Aus – Avg 10.7
– v WI – Avg 25.4
I say very lucky to get a recall based on IPL & white ball performance. But now let’s just hope he makes the most of this chance. Good luck to him! https://t.co/YBVbeut5jH

Another former Indian cricketer Kris Srikkanth didn’t like what Sanjay Manjrekar said about KL Rahul and slammed him badly. Speaking on his YouTube channel Cheeky Cheeka, K Srikkanth called Manjrekar’s comments rubbish and insulted the Mumbai cricketer by saying that he should be left alone as he has no other job.
Srikanth supports the inclusion of KL Rahul in the test squad by saying that the Karnataka cricketer has been doing brilliant in all the formats of the game including the tests. He goes on to say that he doesn’t agree with Manjrekar because he is questioning something just because he wants to create controversies.
K Srikkanth asks Sanjay Manjrekar to take a look at KL Rahul’s test record before questioning. Srikkanth is quite pissed off with Manjrekar and states that Sanjay’s problem is he and people like him can’t think beyond Bombay and they can’t talk or think neutral.
Whom do you support – Sanjay Manjrekar or Kris Srikkanth?
