SRK Backs Out Of The Clash With Akshay Kumar! Want To Know The Reason For This Change?

Bollywood clashes are always risky! Business of both the movies is affected and it’s always better to avoid them. The latest one to hit the news was Akshay Kumar starrer “Toilet- Ek Prem Katha” and SRK and Anushka’s “Jab Harry met Sejal”.

Buzz was that both the flicks were going to release on the 11th of August; social media platforms were filled with gossips about this clash. While some people were busy predicting the results, some were blaming SRK for always clashing with someone at the Box Office.

However, let us tell you that this CLASH is NOT happening anymore. When the makers announced the title i.e. “Jab Harry Met Sejal”, they also announced the release was being preponed by a week. Earlier, it was 11th of August and now it’s 4th of August.

It is SRK who has backed out of this clash; in an interview with a leading daily, Shah Rukh Khan said,

“I have always maintained that if possible, I would change the release dates of my films [to avoid clashes]. Earlier, another film was releasing on August 4, but when that one was removed from that date, we thought it’s a great weekend with the Raksha Bandhan holiday too falling then. Also, I think JHMS is in the space of a long-running film; it’s not a weekend-oriented film. So, we will get the benefit of the second big holiday — August 15 too. It’s that kind of film, since it’s a classic love story.”

Further, the actor said that whenever his movie clashes with other movies, he goes up to the actor and discusses if the release date could be changed. He says,

“This time, I had the choice, and since August 4 is a fantastic date, we took a decision and moved to the date without any compulsion and booked theatres accordingly.”

Now that SRK has cancelled clash with Akshay, both the movies will perform good at the Box Office. The gap is just 1 week; however, it’s better than clashing on the same date, isn’t it?

Hope this release date won’t be changed further.
