Music is certainly divine as it has the power to unite a human with the God and hence it’s not a matter of great surprise that songs of the Indian movies are helping India as a country in connecting and strengthening bond with other nations.

On March 28, a dinner event was organized which was attended by the US Navy CNO and Taranjit Singh Sandhu, Ambassador of India to the United States of America, in which some members of the US Navy mesmerized everyone by singing a Hindi song “Yeh Jo Des Hai Tera”. This track is from the Bollywood movie “Swades” which starred Shah Rukh Khan and Gayatri Joshi in lead roles. The film was directed by Ashutosh Gowarikar, lyrics of the song were written by Javed Akhtar and music was composed by A. R. Rahman.

Taranjit Singh Sandhu took to the micro-blogging site Twitter and shared the clip with the caption,

It was certainly a matter of pride for the Indians and the Indian film industry that their songs are not only loved but also sung by the people of other nations.

Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan and musician A R Rahman were quick to notice and respond in this regard.
