“Sultan” Failed Badly In China & Salman’s Fans Will Cry To Know Its First Week’s Collections

Salman Khan and Anushka Sharma starrer “Sultan” is one of the most superhit movies in the history of Indian cinema. The blockbuster performed superbly in the Indian box-office and broke many records. Now if such was its magic in the domestic market, people naturally anticipated it to write new success story when it hit the theatres in China.

However, Salman and the makers will be sad to know that “Sultan” had a very disappointing start and in its opening week, it could collect nearly Rs. 32 crore only. This amount is much lesser in comparison to any other Bollywood movie released in China. If we compare it to the box-office collections in India, it’s lesser than even the first day earnings of the movie which was Rs 36.54 crore.

Day 2 – Rs 37.32 crore

Day 3 – Rs 31.66 crore

Day 4 – Rs 37.10 crore

Day 5 – Rs 38.21 crore

Day 2 – Rs 7.74 crore

Day 7 – Rs 2.22 crore

Total – Rs 32 crore

“Sultan” has been released in 11,000 screens in China but it’s a big question whether it will be able to earn even Rs 50 crore till its second week or not. Just to inform, Salman’s “Bajrangi Bhaijaan” did a business of whopping Rs 290 crore in China and it’s indeed a matter of surprise that “Sultan” failed badly to impress audience.
