The Indian film industry lost a legend on 24th February and the country still couldn’t recover the shock of her death.
Yes, we are talking about legendary veteran actress Sridevi whose sudden demise left the entire nation teary-eyed. She had a glorious filmy career of almost five decades and it’s still difficult to believe that she’s no more with us.
Sridevi was found dead in the bathroom of her hotel in Dubai where she went to attend the wedding of her nephew.
Earlier it was said that she died of heart attack but later on, the forensic report stated accidental drowning as the cause of her death. Moreover, traces of alcohol were also found in her blood.
A number of celebrities from the film industry arrived at Celebration Sports Club to pay her last respect at her funeral.
Social media was flooded with condolence tweets and messages and Sundar Pichai, CEO of Google, also paid tribute to the iconic star in a heartfelt tweet.
In a nostalgic tone, Sundar Pichai wrote, “Her performance in Sadma was one of my favorites and have special memories of watching Sridevi with my family. She was a pioneer and an inspiration to so many of us. So very sorry for your tragic loss and may she RIP”

Sundar Pichai is among Sridevi’s biggest fans and there’s no doubt that he’s also heartbroken with the news of her passing away all of a sudden, like Sridevi’s family and the whole India.
