The young Indian cricketer Yashasvi Jaiswal is certainly the talk of the town after he put up a stunning show against England in the 5-match test series which India won by 4-1.
Yashasvi Jaiswal was adjudged as the Player of the Match for his performance in the test series, he scored record 712 runs in the series which included 2 double tons.
However, prior to this series, Yashasvi Jaiswal wasn’t able to make an impact in the series against South Africa and recently the former Indian cricketer Sunil Gavaskar revealed that he mildly scolded the youngster during the South Africa tour.
During an interview, Sunil Gavaskar stated that it was really nice to see Yashasvi Jaiswal scoring so many runs and dominating the England cricket team. He further added that on the day 1 of the first test match against South Africa, he met the youngster in the elevator and mildly scolded him for giving away his wicket after scoring a half-century in the test match which was played at Trinidad (previous test match).
Sunil Gavaskar said that he told Yashasvi Jaiswal not to do any favors to the bowlers and he is happy that the youngster listened to him and scored two double hundreds against England.
Little Master was talking about the second test match of India – West India series which was played last year at Port of Spain.
Now Yashasvi Jaiswal will be seen in action playing for Rajasthan Royals in the IPL 2024 which is going to start from 22 March.
