Sunny Leone always makes headlines, be it for her movies or item songs, and has been a favorite of Indians, especially men (if you know what I mean 😉 ).
It’s not a hidden fact that Sunny Leone has been from the adult films industry, even though she’s no more in the same profession. Obviously, there’s nothing strange if she endorses a c@nd@m brand which she has done in the past too; however, her latest ad has landed her in trouble.

Republican Party of India’s women’s wing has made a demand of banning this ad, as it is of the opinion that the advertisement has objectified “the feminine gender”. Moreover, the state-owned public transport has been instructed by Goa State Commission for Women for not showing the ad featuring Leone.
Here’s what IANS was told by Sheela Gangurde, the Women’s Wing secretary:
“The advertising campaign objectifies the feminine gender and has proved to be a sheer embarrassment for all women viewers… It’s a very ugly scene and conveys a very different message. The shabby, immoral and ugly manner in which the actress seduces or sexually provokes a man in the ad to use condoms is nothing but serving immorality and a bad practice to the Indian audiences, hurting their moral ethos, ethics, religious and spiritual values.”
As per Gangurde, “scores of complaints from women viewers, women activists and others” are received because of the “undesirable content”. She added that besides this advertisement, a ban should be imposed on few ads of contraceptives as well.
Sunny Leone has not yet made any comment over the matter.
