Sunny Leone has 0nce again been surrounded by controversies for featuring in a new ad of “Manforce” contraceptive. Well, it has hurt the religious sentiments of Hindus because the ad has been related to Navratri.
Yes, many hoardings were spotted in Gujarat which say, “Aa Navratri Ramo Parantu Prem Thi”, which means, “This Navratri play, but with love”. The hoardings also have Sunny Leone’s photo on it and people have become really furious. Here’s the ad;
Various Saffron groups have protested against this ad and now, they want the ad to be banned. The communities believe that the sanctity of festivities is greatly affected by such ads.
A police complaint was lodged by Dharmesh Gami, the president of Bhartiya Gauraksha Manch. Satish Sharma ,the commissioner of Surat Police ordered for the removal of all the ads.
In an interview with Indian Express, Gami said,
“The hoardings of condom company with the message having double meaning had photo of Sunny Leone. It has hurt our religious sentiments. Navratri is our religious festival and it is the Gujarati tradition of playing the garba.
We will make representations to municipal commissioner, against the agency who had got license of putting hoardings at different places and take legal actions against them.”
