Few Superstitions That You Won’t Believe Still Exists In INDIA!!!

Superstition is a belief in something not justified by reason or evidence. Even though we all know that there is no science behind these superstitions, we can’t stop believing them.Have a look at some of the most popular superstitions which we have been listening since our childhood —

1. Do not proceed , if a cat crosses your way, it brings omen. To overcome it you must take 10 steps in reverse.

2. Never ask the question “where are you going? ” while they are leaving house, its purpose will not be fulfilled.

3. Taking a teaspoon of curd with litle sugar before exam will bring good luck

4. Adding 1 Rs to the gifting amount because it is considered auspicious. The extra rupee is supposed to bring good luck. Figures like 51, 101 are considered more auspicious than 50 or 100.

5. Whilst praying for someone if the diya or oil lamp flame goes out, the guy you’re praying for is going to die.

6. Cutting hair on Tuesday is a no-no. barber shops are closed too!

7. Cats crying in pain or otherwise is bad omen.

8. Bury your milk teeth in the soil (don’t recall why)

9. Giving or taking anything in the left hand is bad (you know what left hand is used for in India 😛 )

10. Sneezing odd no. of times indicates that something bad could happen

11. If there is itching on the right palm (left for female) you can get some money or favors

12. Early morning dreams will come true (Only the bad ones).

 

13. Breaking of glass is considered a bad omen by some and a good one by the others.
