Supreme Court Agrees With Trump’s Travel Ban! 6 Muslim Countries To Be Banned From Entering USA

Donald Trump, the president of the US had proposed a travel ban, which targeted visa applicants from 6 Muslim countries. He believed that this move will help to curb terrorism to a great extent.

The decision of US Supreme on this matter was awaited. Now, the Supreme Court has given its judgment and has partially allowed this ban. The lower courts had ordered to block this travel ban, but now, the US Supreme court has partially lifted this block. This decision is temporary and oral arguments will be heard in autumn.

“The 90-day ban on visitors from Iran, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, Syria and Yemen, along with a 120-day suspension of the US refugee resettlement program, could be enforced against those who lack a “credible claim of a bona fide relationship with a person or entity in the United States”.

The ban will be implemented within 72 hours, however, the experts are of the opinion that this decision might lead to a lot of chaos at the airports. They say, the confusion would be around what precisely qualifies as a “Bona fide relationship” with the United States.

According to the court, formal relationships include students who have taken admission in US universities and also employees who have accepted job with a US company.

The Court will also hear arguments on the order’s legality. The president termed this decision as “Clear victory for our national security.”

In a statement, Trump further added,

“As president, I cannot allow people into our country who want to do us harm. I want people who can love the United States and all of its citizens, and who will be hardworking and productive.”
