India began their Asia Cup 2025 journey in style, easing past hosts United Arab Emirates with a commanding nine-wicket win in Dubai on Wednesday. While the victory itself was swift and decisive, it was a lighthearted moment between captain Suryakumar Yadav and commentator Sanjay Manjrekar that gave the evening its charm.
India, after choosing to bowl first, wasted no time in tightening their grip on the game. Kuldeep Yadav, returning to the national side after a six-month break, was the star of the night. The left-arm wrist spinner delivered a dream spell, taking three wickets in four balls and finishing with stunning figures of four for seven. The Indian skipper took the humor in stride but quickly shifted attention to his team’s performance.
