Sushma Swaraj Came To The Rescue Of 500kg Egyptian Woman Despite Serious Health Conditions

Helping people at a time when the person herself is in a problematic state is a trait which is not found in ordinary people but in kind and extraordinary individuals like Sushma Swaraj.

The minister of External Affairs is in hospital, as her kidney has failed and most probably she will be having a kidney transplant this weekend but even in this serious health condition, she is trying her best to help people in distress. This humane and emphatic attitude of Sushma Swaraj has made her one of the most loved and respected Indian political leaders of all time. Even more amazingly, her efforts are appreciated by not only Indians but also foreigners.

Swaraj has now helped an Egyptian woman in getting her visa as she wanted to get medically treated in India, after the doctor of the lady requested for the same through Twitter.

Eman Ahmed (36) is from Alexandria; her weight is 500 kgs and for the last 20 years, she has not stepped out of her house. Eman’s doctor, Dr Muffi Lakdawala tweeted to Swaraj, requesting for help in getting medical visa as she was refused visa through normal process:

Swaraj replied on Dec 6:

Eman was granted visa the same day by the Cairo embassy and Dr. Muffi expressed his gratitude:

He made another tweet in which he said, “Now starts my tough journey to give this girl a second chance at life. Thank you Sushma Swaraj Ji.”

In an interview to a news site, Dr. Muffi Lakdawala said,

“For 20 years, she didn’t step out of her house. Her family had tried many doctors there for medical help but was denied. It was her sister who got in touch with me after she heard of me from a family friend, who I had operated for obesity.”

He further added,

“I am mighty impressed with the promptness shown by the minister even though she is fighting kidney failure and is hospitalised. Thanks to her, Eman will now be in Mumbai by next week.”

We hope that Dr. Muffi gets success in treating Eman and changing her life and our prayers are always with our favorite minister, Sushma Swaraj.
