Hrithik Roshan and Sussanne Khan used to be one of the most admirable and lovely couples of Bollywood until 2014 when they shocked everyone by announcing their separation after 17 years of happily married life.
Everyone was confused as to what happened to the relationship of this beautiful couple. The grapevine went abuzz with the rumors of Hrithik having an affair with another lady and Sussanne was also linked with actor Arjun Rampal. In fact, it was said that there’s something more than just friendship between both of them.
Nothing was confirmed with regard to the real reason behind their divorce and the couple also maintained a dignified silence since then.
However, Sussanne has opened up for the first time about her present relation with Hrithik and why they decided to separate.
Here is what she told a magazine in an interview,
“We had reached a stage in our lives where I decided that it’s better we weren’t together. It was important to be aware and not be in a false relationship. We are close (friends). We do chat a lot even though we don’t hangout together anymore. But above all, we are very committed to our children. We are respectful towards each other. When children are involved, it’s important to put our differences aside and protect them.”
