As per the reports, Tamannaah Bhatia has been summoned by Maharashtra Cyber Cell on April 29 for questioning in relation to the illegal IPL matches streaming case. The Viacom 18 media company has filed a complaint in which they have stated that despite the fact that they have the Intellectual Property Rights for streaming the IPL matches, the betting app, Fair Play has streamed the IPL matches on their platform because of which they (Viacom18) have suffered losses to the tune of Rs. 100 crore.

Tamannaah has been summoned because she has endorsed Fair Play’s subsidiary app and the same is the case with Sanjay Dutt. Sanju Baba was summoned on 23rd April but he didn’t appear for questioning and now he has asked for a new date and time for recording his statement and he has also said that he was not in India on 23rd April.

Other than these two, Badshah, Jacqueline Fernandez and more than 20 influencers will also be or have been summoned for questioning as they have also promoted the app on different platforms.

She has been asked to appear before Maharashtra Cyber on 29th April. Actor Sanjay Dutt was also summoned in this connection on 23rd April but he had not appeared before them. He had, instead, sought a date and time for recording his statement and said that he was not in India on the date.”
