Ex-serviceman Subedar Ram Kishan Grewal committed suicide blaming the government for their failure to implement the One Rank One Pension (OROP) scheme. It didn’t take long for the political parties to turn this tragedy into a political issue and use it to criticize the current government.

Many leaders of the opposition tried to enter the hospital where Ram Kishan’s body was kept for the post mortem. Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal also visited the hospital to sympathize with the deceased relatives, but he was detained outside the Hospital.

When asked why Mr. Kejriwal has been detained? Delhi police explained that his detention was to avoid “disruption of health services”. The police also stated that the political leaders were detained under Section 65 the Delhi Police Act.

Arvind Kejriwal is known for his active presence on Twitter. He tweets his views and opinions on almost everything that he considers relevant to him. When he was detained, he gave a live commentary of all the events happened to him. He tweeted, “Formally detained by the police. No idea where they are taking me.”
