Taskin Ahmed Whose Pic Holding Dhoni's Head Got Viral Might Be Banned From Playing Cricket - RVCJ Media

There is a bad news for Bangladeshi cricket fans and cricket team as the bowling actions of their two bowlers have come under the scanner. These two bowlers are fast bowler Taskin Ahmed and off-spinner Arafat Sunny.

On Wednesday, these bowlers were reported for suspected action when the Bangladeshi team was contesting with Netherlands in the opening match of ICC World Twenty20 India 2016 in Dharamshala. The match was won by Bangladesh by 8 runs.

Taskin was also recently in news because of the photoshopped image which showed him carrying Indian skipper Dhoni’s severed head; this image went viral over the Internet before the Asia Cup finals which Bangladesh eventually lost.

The ICC media release says: “The ICC is working with the Bangladesh cricket team management to confirm times for the independent testing of both bowlers at the ICC-accredited testing centre in Chennai. The ICC regulations state “…every reasonable effort shall be made for the Independent Assessment to be carried out and the Independent Assessment Report furnished within a period of 7 days from the date of receipt of the Match Officials’ Report.”

It further reads: “Both players are free to continue bowling until the results of testing are known.”

Khaled Mahmood Sujan, former captain and current Bangladesh team manager states that presently they are thinking only about their next match which is against Ireland.

He told PTI, “ICC has expressed some concerns about their action but at this point in time, we will not make any further comments in this regard. The team is completely focused on our next match against Ireland.”
