Teenage Girl Molested In Uttarakhand & Crowd Watched Silently, MMS Went Viral! #SHAME

The world seems to be moving towards doomsday and that’s why, we stumble upon unfavorable incidents and heinous crimes taking place on a regular basis. In fact, these have increased to such an extent that rapes, riots, racism, etc. don’t much affect people now-a-days, as they have become quite habitual of hearing about them quite often. What could be more pathetic than this…

It’s truly said that being a criminal is an offence but being a silent onlooker and watching the whole lot happening without any action is an even bigger crime. In recent times, a group of men molested a minor girl in Kashipur, made attempts of removing her clothes and sadly, the crowd kept on watching it all quietly. They even made an MMS of the entire incident and circulated it on social media. What a shame!

As per SSP Abudai Krishnaraj S, the disgraceful incident took place in Manjhra, Udham Singh Nagar, at a time when the teenager was searching for her brother and went to a building which was under construction.

When a group of men saw the girl lonely, they assaulted her, ripped her dress, hit and molested her but there was no action from the side of mute spectators, probably because she was not their daughter or sister. Had she been their own blood, someone of them might have taken an action or raised the voice.

What’s more appalling is that the whole happening was filmed and MMS soon started doing rounds on social media that eventually resulted in outrage and furious residents of the place surrounded Kashipur police station.

Here’s a video in this connection:

When the teenage girl reached home and informed her father, he lodged an FIR and consequently, the seven accused against whom a case had been filed were taken into custody.

According to the SSP, a video footage is also recovered from the accused and strict actions would be taken against them.

A girl was being molested before the eyes of many and they didn’t feel the need to stop the wrongdoers…. Are we so timid or do we not care at all for those who are not our relatives?
