The world is seriously moving towards extinction. Read any newspaper or online news portal, and you will end up knowing about something really shocking and absurd. While rapes, scams, murders have become too common, there’s a lot more happening every day that you can’t even imagine.
As reported by Lad Bible, Amanda Hawkins, a 19-year-old teenage mum killed her kids, Addyson (2) and Brynn (1), when she left them in the car without food or water for 15 hours.
All this while she was enjoying an overnight party with friends. When a friend asked her to check the babies and bring them inside, she refused.
However, this is not the end as the next episode of the story is even more terrible.
Lad Bible reports that by the time she went back to the car the next day, Addyson & Brynn had collapsed unconscious in 33 degree celcius heat.
But instead of taking them to the hospital straight away, Amanda dressed them in a different set of clothes and gave them a bath. She also tried to cover up the incident, telling the doctors they passed out after smelling flowers at a local park.
Police investigated and had to question her before she confessed to what happened.
Kerr County Sheriff Hierholzer, a police officer, said in a statement-
“This is by far the most horrific case of child endangerment that I have seen in the 37 years that I have been in law enforcement.”
During the investigation, it was found that Amanda had ‘no history’ with police, but it has also emerged that it was not the first time she left her children in a car.
Amanda’s mother, Alisha Eddy told mySanAntonio.com-
“I had the two most beautiful grandbabies, I don’t agree with what happened, what she did, but I love my daughter. I’m there for my daughter.”
Talking about the incident, Amanda’s aunt said-
“We’re just bewildered and confused.”
She was arrested on Thursday and has been charged with two counts of abandoning or endangering a child. If she is found guilty at a trial she could face up two years in jail.
Although police has said that the charges may be upgraded because the children died.
Well, it really feels terrible to know about such cases. If she wanted to party, she could’ve taken the kids with her or at least have kept them in a safe place. And for all those who are not yet ready to take responsibility for kids, it’s better to have protected sex. What do you think?
