There is absolutely no day when we don’t listen a news or two about female rape in the country. Let alone the working girls, who they (rapists) say provoke them with their dressing, even teenage and school going girls who spend most of their time in the home are not spared. And who rapes them? Their own fathers, uncles or relatives.
A new case of similar nature has come in front and has made us speechless. A man (should be called monster) from Telangana has been found responsible for raping his own 16-year-old daughter and making her pregnant.
A doctor handling the case was quoted by HT as saying-
“She would have appeared for board examinations in about five months, but is eight months pregnant now.”
The situation is out of control now for the poor girl as she’s already 8 months pregnant. The doctor added-
“A medical termination of her pregnancy is ruled out because it is well past the permissible 20-week period.”
Police from their investigation has found that the girl was not aware of her pregnancy and came to know about it, just a few days back-
As per police, she stayed silent as she was scared and it was her aunt to discover the pregnancy. When asked she told her aunt that her father had been raping her for months.
PV Padmaja, deputy commissioner of police (DCP), Shamshabad, told HT-
“Though we have all the evidence against the girl’s father to prove he repeatedly raped her, we are getting him medically examined to test his potency so that he cannot deny the heinous act.”
Police have booked the man under Indian Penal Code sections related to committing rape repeatedly on a person below 16 years of age, giving false information, and criminal intimidation, besides sections under the Juvenile Justice Act and Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act.
As per the village sarpanch, “He was in judicial custody for nearly three years after being accused of killing his wife and was acquitted for want of evidence.”
He added-
“When he was in jail, we got his daughters admitted to a girls’ hostel. But he pulled his daughters out of the hostel last year.”
