The IPL team Sunrisers Hyderabad is having tough time in the ongoing IPL 2023 as it has lost its first two matches and what has increased the franchise’s worries is the poor form of Harry Brook, the England cricketer.
The SRH management was praised a lot by the cricket lovers after it bought Harry Brook at a price of Rs. 13.25 crore as the cricketer performed pretty well in the recent past including the Pakistan Super League. Many former English cricketers were of the opinion that Harry Brook would be one of the contenders of the Orange cap but the 24 years old English cricketer failed two times consecutively in the IPL and this has angered many SRH fans.
Harry Brook’s performance in test matches has been quite impressive as in the 6 test matches that he has played, he has scored 809 runs which include 4 centuries and 3 fifties and in the PSL, he played 8 innings for Lahore Qalandars and scored 264 runs at a strike of 172 approx. and he also scored a century in the tournament.
In December 2022 after Harry Brook scored a century in Multan, the English test skipper Ben Stokes compared him with the Indian cricketer Virat Kohli and called Brook a rare player who can succeed in all the formats.
However in both the matches of SRH, Harry Brook failed in making an impact as in the first match against Rajasthan Royals, he scored only 13 runs before getting dismissed while in the second match against Lucknow Super Giants, he was able to score just 3 runs.
