These Transgenders Singing The National Anthem Leaves Behind A Hard Hitting Question For The Society
BHARATIYA.. Hum Bhi Hai..
Jana Gana Mana – Our national anthem which when still heard gives us Goosebumps all over the body. In the recent past we have heard the national anthem in various forms sung by various people. We have heard Differently-abled children singing our national anthem, Bollywood Stars taking pride in singing it, foreigners singing the national anthem but this video is different from all of those videos which you have seen earlier.
For the first time it is the HIJRAS are taking pride in singing the National Anthem of India.
The video by Yathartha Pictures reflects the very common problem of the society where a HIJRAS are deprived of their basic rights of education & employment and being an Indian they are not given that respect and opportunity which even they deserve. The main concept behind the video is just to show that all Indians whether Men or Women or even Hijras are Indians and should be treated equally and have the right to choose what ever they desire to be. With the same view Supreme Court last year came out with a historic ruling of including HIJRAS as the third gender and ordered the government to give them quotas in jobs & education.
