Ayushmann Khurrana, Sanya Malhotra and Neena Gupta starrer “Badhaai Ho” is going great on the box-office and a considerable growth was seen in its collections on the third day. There is no denying the fact that word of mouth helped the movie to a great extent and there seems to be no stopping for it any sooner. The film hit theatres on 18th October to rave reviews from audiences and critics alike and its graph is going upward ever since.
On the opening day, the movie minted Rs 7.29 crore which increased to Rs 11.75 crore on the second day. Talking about the third day collections of “Badhaai Ho”, the film earned Rs 12.50 crore, totaling the amount to Rs 31.54 crore.
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh is of the opinion that the flick is expected to collect around Rs 45 crore on the extended weekend which is definitely phenomenal.
Talking about “Namaste England” that released on the same day and stars Arjun Kapoor and Parineeti Chopra in lead roles, the movie couldn’t live up to the expectations of viewers and hence, its box-office collections had been disappointing from the first day itself. It is the sequel of Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif starrer hit movie “Namastey London” but it appears that Arjun and Parineeti failed to create that magic and chemistry on screen that viewers had been wishing to see.
It opened to Rs 1.50 crore and showed a little growth on the second day with a sum of Rs 2 crore. As far as the third day collections of “Namaste England” are concerned, the film earned merely Rs 1.25 crore and hence its total earnings become Rs 4.75 crore.
Day 1 – Rs 7.29 crore
