Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah (TMKOC) actor Kavi Azad who played the character of Dr. Hathi in the show left the world on July 9 due to cardiac arrest. He was one of the most cheerful actors of the television world and the whole TMKOC team is upset with the unfortunate news.
Recently Daya Shankar Pandey who is portraying the role of inspector Chalu Pandey in the serial revealed many interesting things related to the life of Kavi. In a media interaction, he revealed that Azad was the jolliest person on the sets. He also disclosed why Kavi didn’t get married even when he was 46 years old.
As per Daya Shankar Pandey, Kavi was very much concerned about his family and that’s why, he had decided to never get married in his life. He used to live for his parents, his brother and brother’s family and didn’t want to make anyone else a part of his life. The same is the reason that even after getting 46 years old, he was unmarried.
The actor also disclosed that Kavi was associated with TMKOC for the last 10 years and during this decade, he never appeared to be upset. He used to bring many chocolates on the sets daily to distribute among the team. In fact producer Asit Modi made a special chair for him and everyone on the sets used to take care of him.
According to Daya Shankar, it was he who introduced Kavi to Asit Modi.
In his words,
“I am associated with Taarak Mehta since the beginning. I remember that the actor who used to play the character of Dr. Hathi at that time had some problems with dates. When Asit Modi talked to me about this, I thought about Kavi as he badly needed work. After talking to Asit, I asked Kavi whether he was agreed to play Dr. Hathi in the show and he replied that he would do any work that he got. Then I introduced him to Asit and he got immediately casted.”
Kavi had a wonderful personality and he didn’t believe in saving but tried to help others with his money.
