This Deal With Maharashtra Govt. Is a LUCKY JACKPOT For Baba Ramdev!

Baba Ramdev and his company Patanjali is on the rise… It has already started giving tough challenges to large conglomerates and MNC’s. The government is also in the support of Yoga guru, so when the Maharashtra government allotted his company 600 acres of land for establishing their orange processing plant and units, it came as a no surprise.

Union transport minister and MP from Nagpur, Nitin Gadkari, guardian minister for Nagpur district Chandrasekhar Bawankule and Balkrishna of Pantanjali Yogpeeth signed an MoU with the state government on Friday which handed over 200 acres of land in Katol, Nagpur district, and 450 acres in the Special Economic Zone (SEZ) in the MIHAN
region.

The Yoga guru has been assigned with the task of R&D of Ayurvedic and Natural medicines from the natural resources found in Vidarbha’s tribal areas and remote terrains. In one way or the other, this project is expected to boost employment opportunities for the tribes / people of that area. This high ambitious plan of Baba Ramdev and Patanjali, is estimated to have an investment of Rs.2000 crore. Though only Memorandum of Understanding has been signed as of yet, handing over the land might take some time. As soon as Patanjali put its hand over the land, the machinery and processing unit will start full-fledged.

If reports are to be believed, Patanjali will process its raw materials like Aloe Vera, honey, amla, etc. from the rich forest reserves of Vidarbha region. However, as the tradition goes nothing can run smooth in our country without a few scandals, the opposition has accused government of favoritism and allotting the land is mere amount and much below concessional rate.

Nawab Malik, the spokesperson raised his eyebrows and clearly said, “If the government really had plans of promoting forest produce, it could have issued advertisements or floated tenders”.

Well, what will happen when the land comes in hand of Patanjali is yet to be seen! But one thing that will surely keep this issue alive is the scandal and accusations coming this way.

Don’t you think promoting a Swadeshi company is any time better than allotting lands to foreign hands!?
