Neeraj Chopra, the Indian track and field athlete, has become a household name as he created history by winning the gold medal in javelin throw in the recently concluded Tokyo Olympics. What makes his victory more special is the essential fact that he is the second Indian who has attained an individual Olympic gold after Abhinav Bindra who won it in the Beijing Olympics in the year 2008. Now after this splendid achievement, it comes as no surprise that the 23 years old athlete has become a crush of many young girls as well as celebrities.
Yes, you read it right! A popular Bollywood actress has recently called Neeraj Chopra the national crush.
Any guesses who?
We are talking about none other than the famous “Kabir Singh” star Kiara Advani who is so much impressed with Neeraj Chopra that she called him not just the national crush but the world’s crush.
While interacting with a portal for the promotion of her movie “Shershaah” which lately released and stars Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani in the lead roles, when the star cast was asked about the historical victory of Neeraj Chopra, they referred to him as the real “Shershaah” who has made India proud.
“Shershaah” is based on the life of Indian army Captain Vikram Batra who was awarded with the highest gallantry award Param Vir Chakra posthumously for his bravery in the 1999 Kargil War. The lead role of Vikram Batra has been played by Sidharth Malhotra and the movie has been directed by Vishnuvardhan.
