Next FIFA world cup is in 2018 to be held in Russia. India had already beaten Nepal by 2-0 in first round of FIFA world cup qualification.
In 2nd round, India is placed along with Guam, Iran, Oman, & Turkmenistan in Group D. India played it’s first match against Oman on 11th June. Although India lost the match by 2-1 but India’s main striker Sunil Chhetri won our hearts by his stunning performance.
Sunil Chhetri who has been recently selected among 10 Indian footballers to be put up for ISL player auction scored a stunner against first world cup qualifier match against OMAN
