The decision of BCCI to fire Harsha Bhogle from his job of cricket commentator has not gone well with the cricket lovers but as the layers are folding, it is being learnt that Indian cricket players have made a significant contribution in BCCI’s decision.
If you remember, during the World T20, the Bollywood legend expressed his unhappiness over the cricket commentary when he tweeted, “T2184- With all due respects, it would be really worthy of an Indian commentator to speak more about our players than others all the time.” This tweet was retweeted by the Indian skipper MS Dhoni with “Nothing to add.”
The officials of BCCI may want people to believe that Big B’s tweet was more than enough to take action as his tweet shows general opinion of public but it is just the tip of the iceberg and lot is beneath the water.
Harsha has earned the anger of players and BCCI for being too candid and speaking his mind on many issues, some of which BCCI doesn’t want its commentators to comment on, such as the selection policy, pitch policy, captaincy, BCCI politics etc. What’s more, it is also being said that some players have made complains about him, unofficially.
