The shocking news comes from Hyderabad and the incident took place on 16th June. There have not been many days when an advocate was found guilty and accused of hit & run, killing 2 in a drunken state. Soon after emerged one more case of the lady who was discovered to be guilty in drink and drive legal offence.
The accused is a middle-aged lady of 42, caught driving car under the influence of alcohol. What’s more, it became more perplexing and baffling for the cops when the woman locked herself deliberately inside the car.
As per cops, the moment she was asked for stopping the car and going through breath analyzer test, the lady firstly made an attempt of running away; however, stopped the car in a while. The moment it got discovered that the woman was inebriated, she hurried into the vehicle and locked herself.
To mention what B D Mane, traffic police officer present on the location, has to say in this connection, “Not only did she refuse to come out from the car, but also started smoking cigarettes with loud music. She abused and threatened the policemen, when they tried to get her out of the vehicle.”
According to one more official, “There was a lot of smoke inside the car and anything could have happened due to extreme suffocation. So we had to break the glass and rescue her.”
A case has been lodged against her under Section 110 of Bombay Police Act for pertaining to indecent behaviour in public and 185 of Motor Vehicle Act for drunken driving or driving under the influence of drugs. The woman was afterward charged a chalan of Rs. 2000 for being released.
