Ethan Brown is the founder of Beyond meat and he talked about the reasons why animal meat is something from which people should keep away from, while talking to Business Insider, “Raising livestock is an incredibly inefficient way of producing protein. It takes a lot of land, a lot of energy, and a lot of water just to generate one pound of meat from an animal. About 30% of the animal is meat we eat; the rest is not useful,”

Ethan further added, “By manufacturing meat, we can simultaneously solve four problems.”

By four problems he meant human health, climate change, animal welfare and natural resources.

Ethan says, “A lot of people are uncomfortable with the way animals are slaughtered today. But we also have an unnatural number of animals living today, and when they breathe, they’re expelling carbon. In fact, the single largest contributor to greenhouse gas emissions globally is livestock. It’s not automobiles, it’s not power plants, it’s livestock.”

Bill Gates along with the founders of Twitter are some of those who have got attracted to these innovative product and they have also invested in this business venture.

In fact, Bill Gates has called it the future of food, after he ate a chicken taco from Beyond Meat and he was unable to point out any difference between the real and the fake one that he ate.
