Many times we have heard people talking about a person having an evil eye or evil gaze which results in ominous happenings but is this really true?
The fight against superstitions is still going on but still in the modern day world, there are many superstitions which are still prevalent and are followed by a good number of people. One of the most common superstitions of the present day world is evil eye and we tend to believe in such things instead of counter them with reasoning and logic.
In present times, we try to stay away from that person and avoid him/her who is said to have an evil eye but you will be shocked to know that the rulers of the past used to hang the person who was said to be having an evil eye. In the video, some villagers make a complaint to Emperor Akbar about a woman because they believe that her gaze is evil. The emperor Akbar also got convinced that the woman has an evil gaze as he believes that she is responsible for his son, Prince Salim telling everyone about his love for a dancer Anarkali and orders to hang her. However, surprisingly, Birbal who is counted among the wisest ministers of Akbar and who initially felt that hanging the woman would be wrong also got convinced after he heard some whispers while travelling.
The closing monologue of the woman is quite powerful and it will leave you with some questions to think upon.
