This Young Girl Of 15 Developed Amazing Software To Prevent Cyber-Bullying - RVCJ Media

An Indian-origin girl from Naperville, Illinois has designed computer software that may reduce the incidents of cyber bullying. Trisha Prabhu, a 15 year old student of Neuqua Valley High School has designed “ReThink”, computer software which will give time to the cyber bullies to think again about their actions and the results of their actions. Trisha is of the opinion that words can hit as badly as knives so they should be used cautiously.

She was encouraged to make this computer software after she came to know about the 11 year old girl who took her life out of frustration and helplessness which were a result of online harassment. She was more worried as she knew that teenagers are more prone to commit acts in haste as this is a behavioral feature of teenage.

As far as the working of software is concerned, she tells that it is pretty simple. The software has capability of text recognition and as any distasteful remark is noticed by the Cyber-bullying Research Center, a pop up message is being sent to the user to reassess the remarks. The software has been successful 93% of all the time.
