The fans of Indian serial Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah are quite worried as one of their favourite actors, Gurucharan Singh is missing since 22 April. Gurucharan Singh used to play the character of Roshan Singh Sodhi in the show, he was one of those actors who were a part of the show since the beginning, though he left the show in 2013 yet in 2014, he came back due to huge demand.
However, he once again left the show in 2020 after which Balwinder Singh Suri started playing the character of Sodhi in the show. There were rumours that Gurucharan Singh left the show as he was fed up of delay in the payments but the actor himself never opened up on this matter.
As per the latest reports, some days back, 50 years old Gurucharan Singh went to Delhi from Mumbai to meet his parents and he was supposed to return on 22 April but he didn’t board the flight. Gurucharan’s father Hargit Singh filed a missing complaint in the Palam police station in which he stated that his son was not having any mental distress and he left home for going to Mumbai but he has been missing since then.
The police acted promptly and a team was formed for searching Gurucharan Singh. As per the CCTV footage, on 22 April, the actor was seen walking in Parshuram Chowk area of Palam with a bag on his back. His phone is unreachable at the moment but it was active till 24 April and some transactions also took place during this period. Police also went through Gurucharan Singh’s bank details but they were of no help.
On the other hand, Gurucharan Singh’s close friend, Ms Soni who is in Mumbai told the reporters that Gurucharan was not well and he was not eating much before he went to Delhi. Soni also revealed that before leaving for Delhi, the actor had undergone some tests, she is constantly in touch with Gurucharan’s family.
Ms Soni stated that she went to file a missing complaint in Mumbai as well but it can’t be done as he has not returned to Mumbai.
Let’s pray that Gurucharan Singh is safe and police is able to find him as soon as possible.
