We all know how dangerous it can be to move from one platform to another through railway tracks. Train accidents have already claimed a lot of lives. At Kurla station, Mumbai, a girl was crossing the railway tracks and was talking on the phone. Soon a train arrived unexpectedly; it drew closer and the horrified passengers on the platform started shouting. In the video it is not visible that she was talking on phone, but she was crossing the railway line while on phone; suddenly the crowd started shouting.
When she realized the train is coming, she ran towards the platform. You can see that she even jumped to the other side but since she lost her consciousness, she actually ran up towards the train. Unfortunately, it was too late and she ended up in the middle of the track and the train hit her.
Soon, the RPF arrived and took the girl to the hospital. Surprisingly, the girl survived the hit and received minor injuries. The girl was released from the hospital on the same day and was handed over to her family. Police told the press that the girl was completely careless while crossing the tracks; use of mobiles while crossing is prohibited.
Not everyone is lucky enough like her. Many people die every year while using their phone. While it is true that smartphones have become a necessity for us, but it is definitely not important than our lives. It’s a lesson for every person watching the video; we should not be busy on our phones while walking, driving or simply strolling outdoors. Never forget ‘Savdhani hati, to durghatna ghati’.
