Nowadays, social media has become the biggest problem solver. More than fun, people use it for “Complaints”. A brilliant example of the same would be Sushma Swaraj and Railway Ministry’s Twitter handle; we often see that people share their grievances and get quick solutions. However, we can’t expect the same every time.
Indigo Airways’ Twitter handle seems to be relying on automated replies, but it’s high time they realize that it can create some serious goof-ups, just like in case of traveler Roshan Agarwal.
What happened was that on the 29th of April, Roshan Agarwal tweeted to Indigo regarding the “Misplacement of his luggage” and at the same time also took a sarcastic dig at the Airlines. Well, he was travelling to Calcutta but his luggage had reached Hyderabad. Roshan was frustrated with this episode and hence wrote “Brilliant service”.
Have a look at his tweet;
@IndiGo6E
Thank you for sending my baggage to Hyd and flying me to Calcutta at the same time. Brilliant service. #DieIndigo— Roshan Agarwal (@roshansxc) April 30, 2017
It read, “Thank you for sending my baggage to Hyd and flying me to Calcutta at the same time. Brilliant service. #DieIndigo”
LOL, Indigo Airlines which had an automated reply system failed to understand that the tweet was sarcastic. Sadly, they didn’t even notice the hashtag “DieIndigo”! They replied way too sweetly, without understanding the seriousness of this situation. Checkout their reply;
The tweet read, “Glad to hear that”!
As soon as the company realized this error, they deleted the tweet from their handle, but unfortunately, many people had taken the screenshot till then. Even Roshan tweeted that screenshot and called them dumb. Check out his tweet….
@IndiGo6E How dumb can you be? pic.twitter.com/2cOmxVz1wl

People did sympathize with him but at the same time, they couldn’t stop trolling the airlines for this big mistake. Check out their funny tweets…

One wrong message by Indigo made Roshan trend on all social media platforms. We hope next time they take care of this issue, so that the customer doesn’t get a chance to complain. What’s your take on this? Share your views in our comments section below.
